Wu Yi Rock Tea - Rou Gui is also known as Cassia Bark Oolong Tea. Rou Gui originates from the Wu Yi mountains in the Northern part of Fujian province, China, where the tea bushes grow in the mountain's pristine rocky areas. Rou Gui is the latest tea to be added to Wu Yi's famous five bushes an Oolong Tea. Wu Yi Rock Tea - Rou Gui's leaves are picked with special care by only choosing the best leaves.
The Leaves are a dark, greeny-brown colour with a long and slightly long appearence and they sometimes carry the subtly sweet and spicy aroma of cassia, a cinnamon - like bark and this is why it is sometimes called Cassia Bark Oolong.
Rou Gui is a medium roasted Oolong tea that has a pleasant bitterness with a sweet floral aftertaste and a characteristic cassia aroma. An ideal oolong tea for everyday drinking.
