Dan Cong Orchid (Zhi Lan) Oolong is produced high in the mountain area on Mt. Wu Dong, Guangdong Province, China. Due to the high mountainous growing location of the Dan Cong Orchid tea, these varietals enjoy large day/night temperature difference and mist of high elevation, both of which facilitate synthesis of fragrant bio-molecules in the tea leaves. The Orchid (Zhi Lan) is a varietal of Dan Cong that is rich in aroma. This aroma is where the teas gets its name. Dan Cong Orchid simply means 'Orchid fragrant'

Dan Cong Orchid's leaves are carefully plucked and sorted, allowed to oxidize partially, and skilfully fired to make broad blackish leaves that produce  a golden, amber coloured brew.

Invigorating and full bodied, Dan Cong Orchid, imparts a rich, sweet, fruity mellow and toasty taste with a flower like aromatic that then delivers a mellow aftertaste.
