Feng Qing is a location where this tea from and it is also famous for making Dian Hong Red Tea. this tea ha a remarkably smooth taste with a malty sweetness. Wilting and brief fermentation processing has brought out a strong but smooth flavor in this Feng Qing Red Tea.

Feng Qing tea factory is the first producer of red tea in Yunnan and uses Feng Qing county (Lincang prefecture) high altitude raw material from established plantation trees between 60-80 years old.  This brews a reddish-gold tea liquor and has hints of sugarcane and whiskey.

Dian Hong translates literally as 'Yunnan Red.' Dian is another name for Yunnan Province, named for the Bronze Age Dian Kingdom that was later incorporated into the Han Empire.

The whole leaf and bud complexes from the tea plants are hand picked, processed, and rolled by hand into the needle shaped finished product. It is a remarkably refined red tea with the characteristically Yunnan malty sweetness in the background, a pleasant and slightly drying astringency..

How to brew

  • Use freshly drawn cold water

  • Water temperature: 95℃

  • Use 3g tea leaves in a 350ml cup

  • Steep for 1 to 2 minutes (or to your taste)

  • Infusions: at least 3 times – don't remove the leaves from the mug, as once the water level is low, simply add more water and keep going until the flavour of the tea is gone

  • Brewing vessel: Glass cup, gaiwan, glass or porcelain pot
